Nick Carter

Nick held the position of editor at the Leicester Mercury for 16 years. He has valuable experience of working as a consultant to local authorities to improve their communications strategies with local communities as well as pursuing various voluntary commitments.

Nick has held a place on the Health Inequalities Board set up by the city council and focused on areas of health delivery that were seen as under-performing. As Independent Vice Chair of the Leicester Clinical Commissioning Group his knowledge will allow him to make a strong contribution and provide a vital role in shaping the future of local services. Nick’s experience as chair of the Leicester Multicultural Advisory Group means he has a thorough understanding of matters relating to the cohesion of communities in the city. In his spare time Nick supports local football team Leicester City and takes an interest in History, cooking, wood work and films.
