Additional Covid Vaccination Clinics

Find out about additional arrangements to speed up vaccinations in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland following a rise in cases of the Delta variant of coronavirus (previously known as the variant first identified in India).


Additional clinics have been arranged for people who live in Loughborough on the dates below.

We are particularly keen to vaccinate people living in the following areas of Loughborough:

Lemyngton and Hastings
Storer and Queen’s Park
Shelthorpe and Woodthorpe

Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th June

  • Fearon Hall Community Centre, Rectory Road, Loughborough, LE11 1PL.
  • (Please note, parking is limited. It is recommended to use The Rushes car park nearby).
  • 12pm to 9pm

Opening times may be subject to change.

Changes to published opening times:

  • None.

Who can get their vaccine?

Vaccinations are being offered to people who live in Loughborough and are eligible for the vaccine in line with national guidelines:

  • You are aged 25 or over, or you will turn 25 before 1st July 2021
  • You have a health condition which puts you at higher risk from Covid
  • You are aged 18+ and you live with someone who is at higher risk from Covid either because they are aged 50 or over or they have a health condition
  • You are aged 18+ and you live with two or more adults and you are not from the same family
  • You are a carer
  • You are a health or care worker.

All the clinics will be offering the Pfizer vaccine, which means it is suitable for all eligible ages and pregnant women.

If you have already had your first dose of the Covid vaccine at an alternative location, you will not be able to have your second dose at one of the drop-in clinics.

Leicester City

Drop-in clinics took place at six Leicester locations from Monday 25th May to Sunday 6th June: Hamilton Library, De Montfort Hall, Coleman Neighbourhood Centre, Eyres Monsell Community Centre, Fosse Neighbourhood Centre, Tudor Community Centre. The clinics at De Montfort Hall and Hamilton Library continued for an additional two days.

Vaccinations at all six sites have now ended. 

Over 21,500 people were vaccinated at the clinics. Thank you to everyone who came to be vaccinated and the staff and volunteers who made it possible.

Further drop-in clinics will be arranged for people who attended to have their second dose of the vaccine. You will be contacted to let you know when this will be.

If you live elsewhere in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, there are several options to get your vaccine if you are eligible:

  1. National Covid Vaccine Online Booking Service for appointments at the Peepul Centre and local pharmacies. You can also call 119 to book your appointment.
  2. Local Hospital Hubs (Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital, Leicester Glenfield Hospital, Loughborough Hospital_
  3. Your GP practice
Additional appointments are also available at the General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary for the Pfizer vaccine.
