Following an announcement today from the Chair of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Karamjit Singh CBE, that he will be stepping down from his position on 16 April 2021, the Chief Executive of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups (LLR CCGs) has thanked him for his contribution.
Speaking on behalf of the three CCGs in LLR, Chief Executive Andy Williams said: “We acknowledge today’s announcement by Karamjit Singh that he is to step down from his position as the Chair of University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in April.
“We understand and respect Karamjit’s decision and would like to thank him for his service over the last seven years, particularly his compassionate leadership during the pandemic and his role in supporting UHL’s improvement to a CQC ‘good’ rating. We wish him well for the future.
“We look forward to working with his successor, when appointed, during what will be a critical time for the NHS as we commence recovery from the pandemic and build an integrated care system for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland that delivers better, more joined up care for our patients.”
