GP services available in Leicester over the bank holiday

26th August 2015 | By Liz Mattock | Posted in

Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wants to ensure that people who need health care during the August bank holiday are able to find the right service for their needs.

Most GP surgeries will be closed on bank holiday Monday (31 August) so patients needing health advice can call NHS 111, which is available 24 hours a day. However, if you urgently need to see a GP, but your usual practice is closed, SSAFA Care Health Centre on Spinney Hill Road will be open as a walk-in centre for anyone,  whether you are already registered with the practice or not.
