Public invited to Leicester City CCG public Governing Body meeting

Members of the public are invited to attend the September Governing Body meeting hosted by Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group Board.
It takes place from 1.00pm on Tuesday 12th September 2017 in the conference room, 8th floor, St John’s House, 30 East Street, Leicester, LE1 6NB. The meeting will be chaired by Professor Azhar Farooqi, Leicester City CCG chair.
The agenda and papers will shortly be on the website at http://www.leicestercityccg.nhs.uk/. Members of the public will also have the opportunity to ask questions about items on the agenda at the start of the meeting.
Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the organisation responsible for planning and managing most healthcare services for the people of Leicester City, will also be holding its Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Tuesday 12th September, 2017.
The event, where the CCG will present a summary of its annual report and accounts for 2016/17, will be taking place at the Centre for Medicine, University of Leicester, Lecture Room 1.01, University Road, Leicester, LE1 7RH.
Registration and refreshments will be available at 6.00pm in the Atrium with the formal annual public meeting starting at 6.30pm and running until around 7.30pm.
The public will be able to learn about local progress on important healthcare targets, the CCG’s main achievements, spending over the last year and our plans for the future to improve the health and life expectancy of people living in Leicester. People will also hear about wider health transformation programmes covering Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. There will be the opportunity to ask questions of the Governing Body.
